After arriving for your appointment and completing the necessary paperwork a numbing cream will be applied to the entire area being treated which will make this procedure painless.
During your treatment a customized cocktail, created based on your skin condition, will be applied and absorbed into your skin.
Each treatment uses a single, sealed, disposable, sterilized cartridge, with ultra-fine needles, that will penetrate your skin at different speeds and depth, which is determined by the condition of your skin and what area is being treated.
Immediately following the procedure your skin will feel tight, dry, swollen and sensitive to the touch. The treated area will also look and feel sunburned. The sensitivity and redness will diminish with 24 hours. Other short-term side effects include itching, discomfort, bruising, scabbing and darkening of the treated area. The treated area may also look and feel like sandpaper. These side effects last 2-7 days and during this period the treated skin flakes off and is replaced by new tissue.
It is extremely important to follow a proper aftercare routine after a Microneedling treatment. A correct aftercare routine will help to nourish, heal and hydrate your skin during the regeneration process.
Please read and follow the Baroque Beauty Center PRE and AFTERCARE instructions to obtain the best Microneedling results.

AFTERCARE MICRONEEDLING INSTRUCTIONS
If your skin is sensitive after the treatment you can apply hydrocortisone cream, aloe, and take Advil for discomfort.
CLEAN – Wash the treated area a few times after treatment and before bed to remove all serum and dried lymph. Continue to use a gentle cleanser and tepid water to clean the treated area for the next few days post procedure. Always make sure hands are clean! Do not use cleansing brushes for at least 1 week after your treatment.
HEAL – HYDRATE – STIMULATE – In the days following your treatment we recommend the use of collagen – stimulating peptide products, Hyaluronic Acid and Anti – Oxidant Serums. If a more aggressive treatment was performed you can use a more occlusive (sealing) balm such as Aquaphor.
DO NOT use any product containing fragrance, Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acids, Retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin C, Alcohol – Based Toners, Scrubs or anything perceived as “active” skincare for 10-14 days post treatment.
MAKEUP – DO NOT apply makeup for 24-72 hours after the procedure! After 72 hours Mineral Makeup can be applied using a CLEAN BRUSH.
PROTECT – Avoid sun for a minimum of 72 hours. Do not apply any SPF for the first 72 hours post procedure, after that ALWAYS wear SUNSCREEN (we recommend a chemical free sunscreen).
KEEP IN MIND you should continue to use a Sunscreen EVERY DAY – not just the days immediately following your procedure. Applying Sunscreen should be a part of your daily skin care routine to protect your skin from sun damage and premature aging.
DO NOT expose your treated skin to tanning beds.
DO NOT use a sauna, jacuzzi, or go swimming for at least 72 hours post treatment.
DO NOT exercise for the first 72 hours post treatment. (Sweating and gym environments are filled with bacteria which may cause adverse reactions to your treated area.)

Consistency is the key!
The number of sessions is determined by the client’s skin concerns, skin type, and skin condition, and should be repeated every 3-4 weeks. Consistent scheduled sessions will build more Collagen and Elastin which will result in a more even texture, and glowing healthier skin.
